Port Vale unable to offer Crewe Alexandra full capacity of away stand for cup clash
Port Vale FC have not been able to offer Crewe Alex supporters full capacity of the away stand in next week's Carabao cup clash for 'operational reasons'.
Crewe will go head-to head with the Valiants on Tuesday 29 August (7:45pm), for the first time since 2019.
Although the Bycars Stand has capacity for around 3,000 supporters, the club only offered 1,031 tickets to Alex supporters and these quickly sold out.
Crewe asked for an additional allocation of tickets due to high demand but Port Vale have been unable to grant this request.
A spokesperson for Port Vale FC told Nub News: "We are unable to offer more tickets due to operational reasons that Crewe are aware and understanding of".
Nub News has approached the EFL League One club for more information.
