Another Crewe town centre business set to close for retail park

Another Crewe town centre business is set to relocate to the town's main retail park, opening inside a major clothing, footwear and home products retailer.

TUI, Victoria Shopping Centre, will close on Saturday 2 September, reopening inside Next, Grand Junction Retail Park, on Friday 9 September.

The travel agent is one of many businesses to leave Crewe town centre in recent years, joining the likes of JD Sports, River Island, M&S and Shoe Zone.

TUI is one of many big name businesses to leave Crewe town centre in recent years, joining The Works and Iceland in 2023 (Ryan Parker).

Iceland is set to close its Market Shopping Centre store this September, leaving its Food Warehouse store open on Grand Junction Retail Park.

The Works, Victoria Street, will also be permanently closing down at the end of the month, with its new Grand Junction store launching in August.

On Monday 28 August, a TUI Crewe social media statement read: "TUI Crewe will be making an adventure into Next on the retail park.

"Our last day in Victoria Centre will be Saturday 2 September - we will then reopen in Next on Friday 8 September.

"For more details, contact us on: 01270 258872 or [email protected]."

As of March 2023, TUI currently has 317 branches, including 13 in Next stores.

TUI has set its sights on opening between ten and 20 new stores, with new branches and more concessions in Next, including Crewe (Ryan Parker).

The travel company opened its first concession in partnership with Next in Sheffield in July 2019, with more partnerships opening across the past four years.
