Crewe's first ever bubble tea shop business has opened in the town centre, receiving 50 orders in the first 90 minutes of trading.
Kawaii Boba Tea officially launched inside Hong's Noodle Dumpling Bar, Earle Street, at 12pm on Thursday 24 August.
Operated by local resident, Jayne Li, from Manchester, Kawaii Boba Tea is being run separately to Hong's.
"I am delighted to be finally open. The first day went extremely well and people loved what we were offering them," said Mrs Li.
Kawaii Boba Tea serves freshly-made bubble tea, fruit teas, Hong Kong milk tea and steamed Dim Sum, along with desserts such as boba sundaes, ice cream and cheesecakes.
On its first day of trading, the business offered 50 per cent off its bubble teas.
On Friday 25 August, any customers who spends £13.50 or more, will be entered into a prize draw.
Mrs Li told Nub News: "Me and my family have always loved drinking bubble tea and thought there was a great opportunity to open a new shop here.
"My bubble tea is as good as anywhere in the UK, such as Manchester, Liverpool and London.
"Even the experience of poking your straw in and getting your first sip is exciting for everyone who tries it.
"Bubble tea is originally from Taiwan and that is where all my products are imported from."
Mrs Li had been searching for suitable unit in Crewe to open Kawaii Boba Tea for some time.
After speaking to Hong's owner, Simon Shen, the pair came to an agreement of going into partnership.
The business owner said: "I tried to open this shop inside Crewe Market Hall, but they didn't have anything available at the time.
"There were a few different premises around the town centre I looked at, eventually contacting Simon Shen from Hong's.
"He suggested we could go into partnership, with us running the two businesses separately and I thought it would work out well.
"I have always wanted to run my own shop. Growing up, my parents ran a lot of different businesses and worked all the time.
"I didn't get to spend much time with them. I always said I would look after my kids and do my own thing once they had grown up."
Kawaii Boba Tea currently offers three flavours of bubble tea (original, strawberry and taro).
These include one free topping, which is either tapioca pearls or rainbow jelly.
Customers can pay an extra 60p for the popping boba flavours of mango, lychee, strawberry or peach.
Mrs Li added: "I will see how my menu goes and may make some tweaks along the way, according to demand.
"I am so happy my business dream has come true, It has been a long time in the making.
"Thank you to everyone's patience in waiting for this business to finally open.
"I urge everyone to come down to Crewe town centre and give my bubble tea a try."
Kawaii Boba Tea Crewe is open 12pm until 6:30pm (Monday to Friday) and 12pm until 8:30pm (Friday and Saturday).
