Job Title: Automotive Model Engineer - Whole Vehicle Design and Functional Validation Location: Crewe - Hybrid (3 days on-site per week) Contract: Until 23/12/2025 (with scope to extend)

About the Role:
As a Model Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the development, construction, and validation of design properties and models. Your expertise will support the Whole Vehicle Product and Manufacturing release, ensuring every detail meets our high standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Excellence:Manage the design, construction, and delivery of properties and models, ensuring they meet quality, timeframe, and budget requirements.
- Collaborate and Communicate:Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure all deliverables align with project needs.
- Innovate and Improve:Propose process enhancements and lead technical direction to elevate departmental capabilities.
- Manage Budgets:Oversee budgetary requirements and sourcing processes to meet key performance indicators.
- Stay Ahead:Keep abreast of industry innovations and technological advancements to advise on property design and construction.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience:Relevant experience in the automotive industry or similar sectors, with a strong background in design and construction of automotive reference models.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in CATIA V5 and familiarity with CAD PLM software (eg, LCA or TeamCenter).
- Project Management:Strong ability to create timing plans, prioritise tasks, and identify risks.
- Communication Skills:Exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration across functions.
- Educational Background:An engineering degree or equivalent.
