Wood or Human Bone? - talk
Nantwich Museum
Culture
Wednesday 8th May
Since the discovery in 1982, it has been believed that the contents of a Roman urn on display in the Museum to be wood and rubble. On closer inspection, suspicions arose suggesting that the urn instead contains cremated human remains. Analysis has been conducted on samples from the urn at Keele University, confirming the presence of human bone. Who was this individual? How old were they? What temperature were they cremated at? These are all questions that can be answered through this research. Please book in advance, £6 (£5 Museum members). Online at https://nantwich-museum.arttickets.org.uk/.../2024-05-08..., at the Museum 10am-4pm Tue-Sat, or phone 01270 627104.
This talk takes place at Nantwich Museum on Wednesday 8 May at 7pm
