THERE are new leaders of Division One Group A in the CREWE REGIONALY SUNDAY LEAGUE.

Sydney Arms dropped were knocked off top spot after going down to a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Nantwich Pirates despite a double from Ben Reddock. Aaron Davies was also on target for Sydney, but Wayne Garnett scored twice for the Pirates and veteran Andy Truan, Lewis Jackson and new signing Abraham Mulenga all hit the net to secure victory for the visitors.

Crewe Town FC Ladies firsts.

CREWE Town Football Club is pleased to announce that their new Ladies Team sponsored by Pure Seal Services UK Ltd will be entering The Cheshire FA Ladies League later this month.

Initially formed last year with the aim of getting the ladies training and fit, the club's women's section has grown to two nine-a-side teams, The Fireballers and The A Team managed by Gaz Richards and Anne Marie Vodrey.

A CREWE-BASED insurance firm has been thanked for helping out one of South Cheshire's non-league football clubs stay afloat during the pandemic.

The County Group is a long-standing sponsor of Nantwich Town, which has resumed some of its activities in line with the easing of restrictions, although competitive first team football is off until next season after the decision to null and void the current Northern Premier League season.
