A tanker has been seen dumping its oil contents down a grid in the road - polluting the nearby brook running through to a park.

The incident was witnessed yesterday on Princess Drive, Wistaston (June 20).

"I saw the oil coming from a pipe into the stream and caught it on video. I don't know who dumped it," says witness to the incident, local gardener Mrs Stella Swift.

The oil left the pipe at the back of a property on Princess Drive, Wistaston (Stella Swift).

Mrs Swift from Leighton, was on a job for a regular customer on Princess Drive when she heard a tanker and then noticed the smell of oil.

Mrs Swift went to take a look at the bottom of her customer's garden where the stream runs through.

She noticed oil pouring through the pipe into the stream and recorded it on camera.

Yesterday (June 20), Mrs Swift told Nub News: "I've called the Environmental Agency and been in touch with them throughout the day.

The stream leads to Joey the Swan park, Wistaston, where children play and birds swim in the water.

"This stream runs through Joey The Swan, where dogs and children play, foxes and rabbits drink and birds have their young."
