Fire crews tackle late night motorcycle blaze in Crewe

Fire crews tackled a late night moped blaze in Crewe, after it had spread to nearby fence panels.

On Monday 8 January, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an incident on Claughton Avenue.

At around 3:07am, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene.

No one was hurt in the incident, with the moped sustaining severe damage (Ryan Parker).

Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the blaze, which had spread to the fence of a property.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Crews were called to a moped on fire which had spread to the nearby fence panels.

"Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire."
