A Crewe town centre pub under new management has recently launched a "well-priced" food menu with homemade Sunday roasts, aiming to cater for everyone.

Albert's Corner, Prince Albert Street, was taken over by Ant and Hazel Sherratt, (formerly of The Duke of Bridgewater), this September.

The Crewe couple, who have operated several venues in the town over recent years, are now making 'positive changes" at their new venue.

Albert's Corner now serves food seven days a week, including Sunday roasts, breakfasts, pizzas, burgers, fish and chips, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and vegan options (Ryan Parker).

Ant told Nub News: "We have been here for around eight weeks now, with the new food menu launched around one month ago.

"It has all been very chaotic, me and Hazel love this venue, it has such great potential and we are starting to utilise that.

"Compared to The Duke, Albert's Corner is much more hands-on, but we are always up for new challenges and feel settled in.

"It is really starting to take off now, we offer honest, well-priced, pub grub, including fresh Sunday roasts.

"For modern day menu prices, we believe our food is very cheap, keeping all of our locals in mind.

"We want to make Albert's Corner a great pub again and we are well on track with this now. Our new food menu caters to everyone."

Currently, Albert's Corner has a team of 10 staff and recently (November 18), hired a new chef with 35 years experience (Albert's Corner).

Ant said: "At Albert's Corner, we are very flexible with our food. If a large group want to come and spend £1000 on a buffet we can do it. If someone wants to spend £50 that works for us too.

"With all our produce being made fresh, we can adapt our menu to people's dietary requirements and more.

"We are starting to get bookings for Christmas parties, offering people their very own private area with buffet options available.

"It is our aim to link-up with Crewe Lyceum Theatre on catering for their guests, they are very keen to do this.

"We will soon be launching on Deliveroo, able to offer the people of Crewe homemade roasts delivered straight to their door.

"We have been listening to what people want for food, drink and entertainment and will continue to adapt to what the majority of people want."

Ant added: "We are very busy on football match days, show multiple sports at the same time and do this throughout the day and night.

"Our venue has two pool teams, a darts team and we also host a local pub league team who come where after matches on Saturday afternoons.

"We are on the lookout for more pool, darts and dominoes teams looking for a home. Get in touch with us via Facebook to enquire.

"We are looking to have a live music act once a month, covering a variety of genres. We currently offer discos and karaokes from Thursday to Sunday.

Albert's Corner is open 9am to 12am (Sunday to Thursday) and 9am to 2am (Friday and Saturday) (Albert's Corner).

"In the near future we plan to restart our quiz nights. Keep your eyes peeled for that.

"If you haven't been to Albert's Corner for a while, we would love to welcome you back. Everything has changed for the better."

Albert's Corner is open 9am to 12am (Sunday to Thursday) and 9am to 2am (Friday and Saturday).
