Supported by Swansway Group, Nub News launched the Crewe Prize Draw to help raise money for local charities, with St. Paul's Centre one of four charity partners alongside Hopes and Beams, The Wishing Well and Chance Changing Lives..
St. Paul's Centre says this October donation will go towards its under pressure food bank, which on 22 October broke a day record of giving out 21 food parcels, feeding 34 people.

The latest donation is part of the prize draw's wider fundraising success, with £6,307.75 now raised for local causes after eight draws.

CEO of St. Paul's Centre, Jez Chalmers, told Nub News: "Most likely, the £1,300 is going to go towards our food bank. We are very acutely aware of increasing costs, demand has gone up, and support generally has lessened.
"On 22 October, we broke a record of giving out 21 food parcels, feeding 34 people. That is a record for us, we have never given out so much food in one day before.
"We have launched the 'Not On Our Watch' campaign to try and raise awareness, but any extra money we receive will go towards our food bank as that is our big focus from a cost point of view.
"A £1,300 donation will help feed 45 households in the local community. On a monthly basis, we are literally into the hundreds.
"In September, we fed 360 people with 173 food parcels, which is 2,362 kilograms of food.
"We are seeing approximately a 25 per cent increase compared to the same time last year, and winter months are always the busiest, so we are heading into a very busy period.
"Our biggest challenge at the moment is financial sustainability. We are doing all we can to be creative and innovative with fundraising.

"We have commissioned services, grants we apply for, and our retail section.
"Our furniture sale is now open Tuesday to Friday, where you can get an incredible bargain that is affordable, quality, and reduces landfill. Any pound spent here gets reinvested into the local community.
"If you have any donations or unwanted furniture, send it our way, we are the only charity committed solely to this local community.
"To the people of Crewe who buy tickets for the Crewe Prize Draw, I would say it is a no-brainer to get behind it.
"You could win a good amount of money just in time for Christmas, and you are supporting the charity sector at a time when it is massively needed."
The next Crewe Prize Draw takes place on Thursday 22 October, with another guaranteed £1,500 top prize up for grabs together with four £20 prizes.
