New businesses OPENING/OPENED in Crewe town centre in 2024

A number of new businesses have opened/are set to open in Crewe town centre in 2024, with Nub News compiling a list of them all.
Crewe town centre has been hit with lots of shop closures in recent times, including Costa Coffee, Wilko, Iceland, Card Express, The Candle Shop and William Hill.
The likes of JD Sports, The Works, TUI, River Island and M&S have also recently relocated to Crewe's Grand Junction Retail Park.
Now, despite this long list of closures, things are looking up.
Crewe's new bus station opened in May, with the multi-storey car park set to open this July (delayed).
A number of businesses are set to open in Crewe town centre soon, with many stores already opening in recent weeks and months. They are:
Heritage Barbers - Crewe Market Hall - March 14
Heritage Barbers launched inside Crewe Market Hall on Thursday 14 March.
The business is operated by Crewe man, Anthony Vickers, who has been a barber for over 14 years.
Heritage Barbers welcomes walk-ins, with all of its services listed on Booksy where you can book appointments directly.
Anthony wants to represent his roots and the heritage of Crewe, hence the name Heritage Barbers.
Betsy's Burgers X The Little Dessert Shop - Market Street - March 16
Betsy's Burgers X Little Dessert Shop, 48 Market Street, officially opened on Saturday 16 March.
Taking inspiration from Brooklyn's multi-cultural vibe, Crewe is Betsy's fourth location, following on from Hanley, Lichfield and Wednesfield.
All items from Little Dessert Shop, prior to its temporary closure in January to allow this new Crewe collaboration, are served at the store.
Pudz Desserts - Crewe Market Hall - March 20
Pudz Desserts opened inside Crewe Market Hall at 12pm on Wednesday 20 March.
The new dessert shop serves a large range of sweet treats.
This included ice cream rolls, cakes, waffles, milkshakes and more.
Vinyl Destination - Crewe Market Hall - March 20
Vinyl Destination launched inside Crewe Market Hall at 12pm on Wednesday 20 March.
Crewe's only vinyl record store stocks vintage, retro and modern music.
It also sells music t-shirts, tote bags, artwork, key rings, stickers and vinyl cleaning kits.
The new business is run by Chris Moloney-Ridsale and his wife Gem.
McDonald's - Market Shopping Centre Car Park - March 27
McDonald's launched on The Market Shopping Centre Car Park, West Street, on Wednesday 27 March.
The American chain's third Crewe drive thru outlet is open 24 hours.
Work had been going on at the £1.4 million development since October 2023.
McDonald's outbid Burger King for the car park site last April.
Crewe Post Office - Victoria Centre - April 9
Crewe Post Office reopened inside Oso Go Store convenience store, 3 Victoria Centre on Tuesday 9 April.
The central area of Crewe had been without a Post Office since its facility closed down inside WHSmith in March 2023.
This closure was always meant to be temporary, with Post Office looking at securing a new operator in the town centre since.
Crewe Post Office is open 9:30am until 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday.
Rudaw's Salon - Delamere Street - July 2
Rudaw's Salon, Delamere Street, opened to customers on Tuesday 2 July.
The new salon offers the likes of highlights, hair extensions, perms and cut and finish.
It also offers nail painting, nail repair, natural nails care, take off, acrylic nails and manicure.
Rudaw's Salon will officially launch in mid-July when Nub News will interview the business.
J&N Jewellery - Queensway - July
J&N Jewellery, 22 Queensway, is expected to open this July with the new store filled with stock.
The business, which has a Facebook page with 5,900 followers, is owned by Mr Josef Kondas, 32, from Slovakia.
J&N Jewellery, which will sell the likes of rings, bracelets and necklaces, will be located inside the former Humbugs Traditional Sweet Shop.
Currently, it is running as an online business, which its launch in Crewe expected imminently.
Bobobo - Market Street - July/August
Bobobo will be opening inside 32 Market Street, this July/August.
The bubble tea and bubble waffle shop, which launched its first store in Stafford town centre in 2022, is owned by Katie Davis.
Bobobo serves bubble teas in fruit and milk varieties, with lots of extra toppings.
The business way expected to launch in May. This was pushed back, but now signage is up.
Bobobo also offers a make you own bubble waffle, with options including ice cream, tapioca, toffee pieces, sauce, biscuits and fruit.
New Bar - Market Street - 2024
This January, Mr Gary Knapper submitted a premises licence application to open a new bar at 69 Market Street.
Work has been going on at the site since 2021, with a planning application for a new shop front and refurbishment of the unit approved in March 2022.
The bar is set to open seven days per week, opening until late at weekends.
No opening date has been confirmed yet. Cheshire Police raised no objections to the premises licence application.
