A new 24-hour McDonald's drive thru restaurant has officially opened in Crewe town centre, becoming the chain's third outlet in the town.
McDonald's launched on The Market Shopping Centre Car Park, at 11am on Wednesday 27 March.
Employing 81 new hires, McDonald's has an indoor eating and large outdoor dining area, along with a drive-thru around the edge of the eatery.
Work had been going on at the £1.4 million development since October 2023, with McDonald's outbidding Burger King for the car park last April.
The new outlet is operated by McDonald's themselves (McOpCo), rather than a franchise.
Business manager, Claire Greenwood, told Nub News: "We are delighted to open a new McDonald's on The Market Shopping Centre Car Park.
"It was very busy for our opening at 11am and there has been a constant flow of customers throughout the afternoon.
"We have employed 81 brand new staff for this restaurant. We are open 24 hours for dine-in and takeaway orders every day of the week.
"There are lots of car parking spaces around our site, with electric charging points currently being installed."
McDonald's new Crewe site adds to its drive thru locations on Macon Way and Dunwoody Way.
This is the American chain's most central Crewe outlet since its walk-in only Delamere Street store closed in 2018 after 34 years.
McDonald's is open 24 hours, (Monday to Sunday), from The Market Shopping Centre Car Park.
