Death notices in the Crewe area this week

Each week, Crewe Nub News pays tribute to the loved ones remembered in our area with a death notice.
Here are the death notices in the Crewe area published this week:
Maureen Hemsley
Maureen sadly passed away, aged 83, on Friday 19 January.
The funeral has taken place for Maureen who passed away in the devoted care of staff at Primrose House Nursing Home, Haslington.
A celebration of Life Service at Crewe Crematorium was conducted by celebrant Steven Linde on Wednesday 7 February.
Maureen was the beloved wife of the late Peter Hemsley and much loved mum to David and Martin.
Mourners included Maureen's two sons and daughter in law, friends, neighbours and carers from Primrose House.
Ernest Cooper
Ernest sadly passed away, aged 96, on Friday 12 January.
The funeral has taken place for the former Shavington resident, well known in local pubs as he regularly played in a local group of musicians.
A Celebration of Life Service at Crewe Crematorium Chapel was conducted by celebrant Steven Linde, followed by cremation.
Ernest's musician friends played live music on the entrance and exit from the crematorium.
His family, some having travelled from Canada, presented memories and recollections of his life some years of which were spent in Canada.
Ann Jennifer Robinson
Jenny sadly passed away, aged 81, on Tuesday 2 January.
The former Nantwich resident passed away peacefully in the devoted care of staff at Station Nursing Home, Crewe.
Her funeral service took place at St Wilfred's Church, on Tuesday 13 February at 1pm.
She has been buried in a grave to be reunited with her parents, Patty and Charles Robinson.
Stephen Victor James Wheeler
Stephen sadly passed away, aged 59 on Sunday 28 January.
The Crewe resident passed away peacefully at home following a short illness.
The much loved partner of Avril, step-dad to Danielle, dad to Stephanie and Kimberley and loving brother to Glenda, Stephen will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
Stephen's funeral service will take place at Crewe Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday 14 February at 10:45am.
Family flowers only please. Mourners are encouraged to wear something bright to help celebrate Stephen's life.
Peter Hughes
Peter from Shavington, unexpectedly passed away in hospital after a short illness, aged 77.
The much loved husband of Susan, dad to Jackie and Ally and a devoted grandpa, Peter will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Peter worked for a number of years in the welding department at Rolls Royce Motors.
His funeral service took place at Crewe Crematorium Chapel on Wednesday 7 February at 12:15pm.
