Woman charged for driving without licence after pedestrian killed in Crewe
Cheshire Police have charged a woman with causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a licence, after a male pedestrian was killed in Crewe.
At 10.09am on Friday 9 February, officers on patrol came across a collision on Crewe Road/Nantwich Road, by BP petrol station.
The incident involved a BMW and a pedestrian.
A 61-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and sadly died.
Oghenevwaire Shittu, 38, of Ruskin Road, was arrested on Friday 9 February.
She has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a licence.
Shittu appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Saturday 10 February where she was remanded in custody.
The Crewe resident is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 11 March.
Nantwich Road/Crewe Road was closed in both directions between Broughton Lane and Manor Way for several hours on Friday 9 February.
