Woman charged for driving without licence after pedestrian killed in Crewe

Cheshire Police have charged a woman with causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a licence, after a male pedestrian was killed in Crewe.

At 10.09am on Friday 9 February, officers on patrol came across a collision on Crewe Road/Nantwich Road, by BP petrol station.

The incident involved a BMW and a pedestrian.

Oghenevwaire Shittu, 38, of Ruskin Road, appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Saturday 10 February. She is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 11 March (Wiki Commons).

A 61-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and sadly died.

Oghenevwaire Shittu, 38, of Ruskin Road, was arrested on Friday 9 February.

She has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a licence.

Shittu appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Saturday 10 February where she was remanded in custody.

A 61-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and sadly died on Friday 9 February (Ryan Parker).

The Crewe resident is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 11 March.

Nantwich Road/Crewe Road was closed in both directions between Broughton Lane and Manor Way for several hours on Friday 9 February.
