The funeral has taken place of the late Ernest Cooper aged 96 years from Shavington.
A Celebration of Life Service at Crewe Crematorium Chapel was conducted by celebrant Steven Linde, followed by cremation.
Ernest was well known in local pubs as he regularly played in a local group of musicians. his musician friends played live music on the enterance and exit from the crematorium.
Ernest's family, some having travelled from Canada presented memories and recollections of his life some years of which were spent in Canada.
Generous donations were received for The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust.
