Eatery boosted with five-star food hygiene ratings at both locations in Crewe

An Indian eatery has been boosted with new five-star food hygiene ratings for both of its sites in Crewe, according to a recent Food Standard Agency (FSA) report.

The Food Standard Agency (FSA) Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, is aimed at helping people choose where to eat out or shop for food.

The FSA scheme is in partnership with local authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The five-star hygiene rating at Bombaye Junction, Crewe Market Hall. This rating means 'hygiene standards are very good' for the business (Nub News).

It gives businesses a rating from 0 to 5 - displayed at their premises and online.

Ria's Kitchen By Bombaye Junction, located on Apollo Buckingham Health Sciences Campus, was rated five-star for food hygiebe on 21 May (Nub News).

Bombaye Junction, Crewe Market Hall, was rated five-star for food hygiene on 22 May (Nub News).

A food safety officer from Cheshire East Council inspected the Indian food business to check it was following food hygiene law and ensuring the food sold was safe to eat.

At all inspections, the officer judged the following three elements:

  • Hygienic food handling - very good
  • Cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building - very good
  • Management of food safety - very good

Bombaye Junction launched in Crewe Market Hall in 2022, with Ria's Kitchen by Bombaye Junction opening at the university campus in 2023.\

Operated by Robby and her partner, Dr Vipul Jindal, both Bombaye Junction businesses are popular with customers in Crewe and further afield.
