Pensioner in hospital with 'serious injuries' following collision by Crewe retail park

A 72-year-old woman remains in hospital with "serious injuries" following a collision in Crewe, by the town's Grand Junction Retail Park.

At around 6pm on Monday 20 May, Cheshire Police were called to reports of a collision at the junction of Earle Street and Queen Street.

The collision involved a pedestrian and a silver Mercedes. The driver stopped at the scene.

The pedestrian, a 72-year-old woman, was taken to Leighton Hospital with serious injuries and remains there at this time (Nub News).

Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident. Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch with them.

PC Elliot Price said: "This collision occurred at a busy time of day so we are urging any witnesses to contact us.

"We are also asking anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to make contact.

Enquiries into the collision have been ongoing since the incident. Cheshire Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch with them (Cheshire Police).
