Cheshire Police have arrested a BMW driver, following a series of crashes in Crewe and Sandbach.

At around 12.13pm on Friday 11 September, officers were called to reports of an incident in the Redwing Road area of Sandbach.

It was reported that a red BMW 1 Series Hatchback had collided with a house and then drove away from the scene.

Further crashes involving the same vehicle were reported in the Platt Avenue in Sandbach, along with incidents on Nantwich Road and Gresty Road in Crewe, which was captured by Nub News.

At around 12.39pm, officers located the vehicle on Gresty Road after it had crashed into a lamppost outside Crewe Alexandra FC Car Park.

A 39-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop at two accidents and criminal damage.
