Man airlifted to hospital following serious welfare incident in Crewe

A man was airlifted to a North Midlands hospital, following a serious welfare incident in Crewe over the weekend.
On Saturday 21 September, North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) were called to concerns for the welfare of a man on Vernon Way, close to Tesco Extra.
Cheshire Police were also called to the scene, with the man treated by paramedics.
A NWAS Air Ambulance landed on nearby Heritage Retail Park, outside Dunelm, Forge Street.
The man was then airlifted to Royal Stoke University Hospital. This incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 6.17pm on Saturday 21 September, police were called by paramedics to concerns for the welfare of a man on Vernon Way, Crewe.
"Officers attended and the man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to the Royal Stoke Hospital.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
