First ever Crewe artisan market hints at town centre return following 'great success'

Crewe Makers Market was a big hit as thousands of visitors flocked to Hill Street and Lyceum Square on Saturday - September 3 (Crewe Makers Market).

A first ever Crewe town centre artisan market event has hinted at returning again soon - after thousands of visitors came to support it.

Crewe Makers Market was held along Hill Street and Lyceum Square on Saturday (September 3) - running from 10am until 4pm.

Consisting of 65 stalls, the makers market offered street food, drink, art and design - as well as live entertainment for children and families.

The Bubble Fairy entertained visitors to to Artisan market on Lyceum Square and Hill Street (Crewe Makers Market).

The North West artisan company ran the event partnership with Crewe Town Council.

A representative of Crewe Makers Market thanked the general public and its supporters for what it described as an 'incredible' event.

Immediately after the event, they posted on social media, saying: "Thank you Crewe. For our first ever Crewe Makers Market it was incredible.

"We are overwhelmed by all your support, and for all the people that attended to support our traders and the town today.

"It means so much to us and our traders. A huge thank you to Rachel and Leanne from Crewe Town Council also for helping us make it happen and providing awesome entertainment."

Crewe Makers Market shared images of the successful event on social media.

Following its statement launch in the town they believe they will be bringing it back soon.

Crewe Makers Market added: "We had so much amazing feedback today and calls for us to be back every month.

"The footfall proved that the market was a great success and that people want us to keep coming back.

"We hope to see you all again soon. In the mean time please keep supporting your local independents too.

There were 65 stalls on offer at the town's first ever Makers Market event. (Crewe Makers Market).

"And hopefully we will be back again in the near future."
