Fundraiser created to give much-loved 20-year-old Crewe man funeral 'send off he deserves'

A fundraiser page has been created to raise funds for the funeral of a 20-year-old Crewe man who sadly died - just four days after being involved in a serious collision.

On Thursday (September 1), Zak Finch, on a blue Lexmoto Crescent motorbike, was involved in a serious collision with a silver Ford Fiesta car - on the A534 Nantwich Road at its junction with Mill Street.

Zak was taken to hospital for a broken leg and was later discharged.

Sadly, four days later, Zak, passed away after falling ill at home on Monday (September 5).

After his passing, a fundraiser titled: 'Funeral for Zak Finch' was created by Zak's family on gofundme.

The fundraiser reads: "Zak sadly passed away at home, with his family at a shockingly young age of 20.

"We have set up this page to help his bereaving family to provide Zak with the funeral and send off he deserves.

"Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for you support."

As of the posting of this article, £1,345 has been raised out of the £3,000 goal.

This has come from 58 donations different donations.

After his passing, a fundraiser titled: 'Funeral for Zak Finch' was created by Zak's family on gofundme (Google).

A number of tributes for Zak have been posted on the gofundme fundraiser page.

Jonathan Thewlis posted: "You'll be sadly missed my friend, to soon, to young, thank you for the laughs and chats during our breaks and the time throughout work. Rest easy Zak. Jono."

Marcus Williams said: "I will never forget you and you will always be remembered by everyone as that lovely lad Zak finch who would do anything for anyone."

Pete Shields posted: "So sad to hear of one so young passing away. I hope his family can find peace."

Police officers are appealing for information in relation to the collision (Cheshire Constabulary).

An investigation to establish the cause of Zak's death is currently underway and as part of their enquiries, police officers are appealing for information in relation to the collision.
