A Crewe political party leader has given his instructions to the new Prime Minister - listing seven key issues he believes she needs to sort immediately.

Brian Silvester, leader of 'Putting Crewe First,' expressed his frustration at the number of key issues he believes are in need of immediate action by the Prime Minister.

Liz Truss was formally named the new PM by Queen Elizabeth II yesterday (September 6).

Leader of 'Putting Crewe First,' Brian Silvester spoke to Crewe Nub News today - September 7 (Brian Silvester).

The Crewe party political leader councillor told Nub News today (September 7):

"These are the priorities the PM needs to act on urgently.

"One. Freeze energy bills so people can afford to stay warm this winter.

"Two. Scrap VAT on energy, the Green Levy and gas/electric standing charges.

"Three. Drill for oil and gas, frack, mine coal and expand renewables like geothermals to make the UK self sufficient in energy supplies.

"Four. Increase the windfall tax on energy companies who have hugely increased their profits at the expense of consumers.

"Five. Stop illegal migrants flooding across the Channel and substantially reduce legal immigration.

"Six. Cut NHS waiting lists and improve ambulance response times.
