A driver was issued with a section 59 warning notice by police following an anti-social incident in Crewe over the weekend.

On Sunday 11 August, Cheshire Police noticed a car being used in a manner causing "alarm, distress or annoyance" on David Whitby Way.

At 10:15pm, the silver Volkswagen Polo was pulled over by officers.

A section 59 warning notice was issued to the driver, with police warning another incident may lead them to seizing the vehicle.

No arrests were made in the incident, with no injuries reported.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 10.15pm on Sunday 11 August, officers spotted a car which was being used in a manner which causes alarm, distress or annoyance.

"The Silver Volkswagen polo was stopped on David Whitby Way in Crewe and the driver was issued with a section 59 warning notice.

"The driver was warned that should he be stopped again by police then officers may seize the car."
