Police hunt for driver who 'provided false details' following collision with push bike

Cheshire Police officers are on the hunt for a driver who allegedly "provided false details," following a collision with a push bike at a Crewe roundabout.

On Thursday 24 August, police received reports of a collision on Cross Keys Roundabout, North Street.

The incident, involving a blue car and a bike occurred at 3:15pm, with officers notified around 4:40pm.

A 27-year-old who was riding the push bike went over the bonnet of the blue vehicle (Nub News).

The driver stopped at the scene, but is reported to have given false information.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, with officers urging the public with any information to contact them.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 4.40pm police were called to reports of a collision on Cross Keys Roundabout, North Street.

"The caller reported that a 27-year-old man, who was riding a bike, had been hit by blue car. 

"This incident is reported to have occurred at 3.15pm.

Enquiries into the Cross Keys Roundabout incident are ongoing, with officers urging the public with any information to contact them (Nub News).

"The driver stopped at the scene but he is reported to have provided false details. 

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call 101, or visit our website, quoting IML 1628614."
