A Crewe town centre business says it is 'extremely grateful' for customer support - following an increase in sales this month (January).

Crewe Asian Store, Crewe Market Hall, officially opened in May 2021 and has been a hit with customers who have visited the town centre venue.

The beginning of January saw a number of Market Hall businesses struggle for trade but this has now picked up as the weeks have gone by.

Owner of Crewe Asian Store, Mr Teja Vaddala (Ryan Parker).

"The first few days of were quiet, but from last week (January 11), we have been doing well - footfall has increased and the sales are picking up," said Crewe Asian Store owner, Mr Teja Vaddala.

Crewe Market Hall has seen Mexicano De Jimmy close close in recent weeks due to personal reasons.

The venue is filled with food and drink outlets and currently has three shops.

These are Wattalotta Sweetz, Crewe Alexandra RSS pop-up shop and Crewe Asian Store.

Crewe Asian Store believes it can appeal to even more customers following over 18 months of success.

Mr Vaddala told Nub News: "We want to increase our sales by advertising on different platforms - expanding our business on social media.

"We are also planning to increase our product list to serve more people.

"Our business is mostly encouraged by local community and we are extremely grateful for the support we are receiving.

"We want to do our part by doing donations to the food banks."

Mr Vaddala has arranged this regular donation to show his appreciation to the local community - like customers have done for his shop.

The shop owner said: "Whenever I interact with customers about our shop, they always say that they are loving our products (especially spices and authentic Asian foods).

"They often mention that they used to go to the likes of Stoke and Manchester before to get Asian spices to cook Asian food and that makes me really happy.

"My overall intention behind Crewe Asian Store was to bring Asian food to this town.

"A lot of people are asking for cooking books to prepare Indian food with our spices and products. We are looking to implement them very soon."
