A Crewe fish and chip shop has finally reopened after overcoming an incident where a car ploughed through the building over one year ago.

Coronation Fish Bar, Coronation Street, officially reopened at 11:30am on Wednesday 16 August.

This reopening comes 54 weeks after a grey Audi saloon collided with the Crewe chippy while the owners were on holiday (August 3, 2022).

Coronation Fish Bar is open 11:30am until 2pm (lunch), and then 4:30pm until 9pm (evenings) (Ryan Parker).

This collision caused significant structural damage to the building, with redevelopment works taking a while to get up and running.

Coronation Fish Bar promised customers it would eventually reopen again.

Following several months of works, the traditional chip shop is fully operational once again.

A Coronation Fish Bar social media statement read: "Don't forget we will be open again from 11:30am.
