Crewe college students celebrate record-breaking results day

On Thursday 17 August, over 100 students achieved the highest possible A level grades of A*A*A* or the equivalent in their chosen subject.

22 A Level students achieved two or more A*- A grades in their chosen subjects, including English, Mathematics, Sciences and Classic Civilisation.

Many of the college's A Level students will be progressing to higher level studies and will be attending some of the most respected universities in the country. 

Departing Cheshire College - South & West A Level student, Hannah Chester, secured A,* A,* B in Sociology, Politics and History.

Delighted with her results, she told Nub News: "I am so happy I got the results I need to get into Manchester.

"It has been an amazing experience at this college, I have met new friends and been taught by the best teachers."

It was monumental moment for the Crewe college's T Level students, the first cohort to receive their results since Cheshire College was specially selected by the government to be one of the country's T Level providers.  

Many of Cheshire College - South & West's A Level students will be progressing to higher level studies and will be attending some of the most respected universities in the country (Nub News).

Equivalent to 3 A levels, T Levels focus on technical industry standard vocational skills and enable students to progress into skilled employment, higher level study including apprenticeships. 

Cheshire College is celebrating the success of 71 students who successfully completed a T Level programme this year, with 11 students receiving Distinction grades. 

The 550 BTEC students receiving their results also had ample cause for celebration. 

Their excellent results will allow them to pursue their chosen careers, university placements and higher apprenticeships; most notably 75 of this cohort achieved the highest possible grade of triple Distinction star in subjects such as Esports, Engineering, Visual and Performing Arts. 

Students studying Health related courses achieved 69 per cent high grades and 100 per cent pass rate for students.

"The various paths our students are now embarking on are as varied and ambitious as our students themselves.

"Whether it's university, full-time employment or apprenticeships, we can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead for everyone."
