A fast food takeaway from Stoke-on-Trent has launched its third business in Crewe - at the heart of a busy food stretch.

Tigerbite, located towards the railway station end of Nantwich Road - launched at 11am this morning (30 March).

"A lot of planning and analysis has gone into this area. Nantwich Road is a busy road, great for businesses," says Digital Marketing Manager of Tigerbite - Craig Holdcroft.

The business has created almost 20 jobs - once the delivery drivers begin next Monday (April 4).

Tigerbite sells a variety of hot food, including pizza, gourmet burgers, kebabs and desserts.

It is located opposite Best Kebab and TJS Fish and Chips, as well as being next door to restaurant chain Pepe's Piri Piri - along with many other takeaways and restaurants nearby.

Mr Holdcroft told Nub News: "Crewe seems like a nice, busy area. We see a lot of people passing - whether that is for college routes or the railway station.

"I see it as a commuter town and we are in the middle of it.

"We have two Tigerbite stores in Stoke-on-Trent, with one in Tunstall. We have a customer base North of Stoke and Crewe is the natural next step for us.

"It is a wide menu which in in my opinion, will appeal to families rather than a selected group.

"The period up until Monday, is what we call a 'dark opening' - we can iron out any small issues we have before then."

Tigerbite is a growing fast food chain - it plans to expand even further if the Crewe business is a success.

Holdcroft added: "We were offered the opportunity at this property and we were looking at this for six months before finally taking it. We are very happy to be here."

The takeaway on 9-11 Nantwich Road, was formerly occupied by the Lily Café Shop.

It opened just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit and didn't survive from it - permanently closing in 2021.

Operations Manager of Tigerbite, Phil Adams said: "Since the pandemic first began, it has demonstrated that people want convenience, ordering from the comfort of their own home.

"Fuel costs are rising and we offer free delivery - this takes a lot of cost away for our customers."

Currently the average UK price for petrol is 163.3p and it is expected to rise again.

Mr Adams added: "We have plans in place to get electric bikes to help with Crewe traffic routes and put less cars on the road.

"We look to do this within the first few months of opening here. The less fuel and emissions, the better for the environment."

On Google reviews, Tigerbite Stoke North has a rating of 3.6/5 stars - from 251 ratings.

On Uber Eats it achieves rating of 4.3/5, with 4.7/5 on Foodhub.

Adams concluded: "This location on Nantwich Road is very prominent for other food outlets and takeaways.

"We are confident that we can make it work in Crewe - with so many takeaways open down here, it shows that the demand is there.

"If we get our food right and establish a good early reputation like we have in Stoke - we are confident that the people of Crewe will choose us."

Tigerbite will be offering customers with a fifty percent discount on collection orders for today (30th March) and tomorrow (31st March).

The eatery will be open from 11am to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
