The SPRING sunshine has been great the past week, we knew it couldn't last forever. Now it looks like this weekend will be full of April showers.

Despite the drop in temperature, there is still a fun weekend ahead for all - what better place to look for events than Crewe Nub News.

For live sport this weekend, Crewe Alexandra are at home to fellow strugglers Fleetwood Town this Saturday at 3pm - a must win match for any chance of survival.

1. Olivia Jayne at Crewe Market Hall

Crewe Market Hall has established itself as a hub for all sections of the community.

On Friday evening (April 1), Olivia Jayne performs live on the Market Hall's stage.

The talented vocalist is making her debut on Crewe's Market stage at 8pm.

Olivia will be covering classics from the 80s through to present day. There will be a wide range of genres - from musical theatre to pop.

Make sure you get there nice and early to get a front row seat and enjoy the food and drink on offer from the Market's stalls.

2. Bored Adventures at Crewe Market Hall

On Sunday afternoon (April 3), Sandbach group Bored Adventures perform live on the Market Hall's stage.

The set starts at 4pm, performing a wide mix of indie classics and own material.

Members of the up-and-coming band: Ethan Rogers, Leo Jones, Connor Timmis and Harry Longworth can't wait for you to join them.

3. Tumblin Dice at The Woodside

Rolling Stones tribute band Tumblin Dice will be performing at The Woodside pub this Saturday night (April 2).

The live music starts at the Valley Road pub at 9pm - the area's premier rock and roll cover band will play a set for all to enjoy.

The Woodside will be open until midnight.

More big events in Crewe this weekend

This Friday one of the area's top party bands, SWaY, will be playing at The Cosey Club in Haslington.

The rock group has been together for 25 years - the event is free for members and £2 for non-members/guests, kicking off at 9pm.

Crewe Market Hall will also be hosting solo singer and songwriter Callum J Wright this Saturday at 8pm.

Also in Crewe this Saturday, five-piece party group Oska will be playing at The Eight Farmers pub. The free event commences at 9pm.
