CREWE Wanderers and FC Bollington are the early leaders of the CREWE AND DISTRICT LEAGUE.

Wanderers sent Sandbach Town packing with a 5-0 win with Danny Tomkinson netting a brace and Gaz Tomkinson, Roberts Sutton and Tom Edge also on the scoresheet.

Sandbach Town Ramblers faced fellow newcomers FC Bollington in what turned out to be a very tight game with Bollington edging it by a 2-1 margin.

Jack Allen and Keiron Shenton scored for the visitors while Ramblers replied through Damien Sloan.

In the CREWE FA CUP Nantwich Town Reserves were far too strong for AFC Crewe as the Cheshire League side romped to a 17-1 win.

In the CREWE FA JUNIOR SHIELD Mary Dendy came off second best against Crewe Town who kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 win.

Sandbach Curshaws had the edge over Mary Dendy 1982, but it was a close affair in the end finishing 4-3 in favour of Curshaws after their 3-0 lead interval lead was chipped away.

Curshaws scorers were Jordan Bickerton (2), Fraser Keena and Ryan Simmons, while Alex Hollinshead, Jonathan Kyd and Adam Wakefield replied for Mary Dendy 1982.
