Job Title: Senior HR Advisor

Our client is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join their team in Crewe, Cheshire. This is a temporary position with a duration of 6 months.
The Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for providing professional HR services to line managers, ensuring the implementation of Policies and Procedures in alignment with the organisation's People Strategy and Business Objectives. Working closely with a team of Senior HR Advisors, the successful candidate will be expected to work independently, problem solve, and contribute to a peer learning environment that encourages quick reactions and responses. Additionally, this role will focus on driving the digital agenda of HR, including creating and providing engaging line manager communications to support upskilling and reduce reactive people topics.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to recruiting managers on offer proposals for both external and internal candidates, ensuring adherence to reward and benefits guidelines and development programmes.
- Manage complex employee relations casework, including dismissal and subsequent Employment Tribunal claims. Share best practises and lessons learned with other Senior HR Advisors to encourage peer learning and independence within the group.
- Ensure fair and consistent management of absence, flexible working requests, performance management, grievance, and disciplinary processes in line with Company Policy.
- Coach and influence managers on policy best practises, including relevant case law and the implications of non-compliance.
- Support the HR Business Partner in advising on the people consequences of organisational change initiatives and restructures.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in line with employment legislation, best practises, and business objectives. Proactively identify areas for improvement using data and insights from reporting, cases, and employee relations.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in a fast-moving generalist HR Operational role.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex employee relation cases, settlement agreements, and Tribunal Preparation.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Experience coaching line managers.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and passionate about HR delivery and digitisation.
- Experience in project management and implementation across functional areas.
- Role model for desired Values and Behaviours.
- Ability to challenge, drive, and support business areas to ensure appropriate Governance of people processes.
