Job title: Mechanical/Electrical Fitter Job location: Crewe Salary: 19.38 p/h PAYE, earnings up to 41,763.00 plus overtime Shifts: 3 shift system Hours per week:42 hours per week plus overtime Duration:Ongoing contract Start date:Immediate Client Summary:A Market Leader in Logistics/Rail Freight, Maintenance and Repair Position Summary:We are expanding our existing team of Locomotive Engineers for the Depot in the Crewe and are looking for an Mechanical / Electrical Fitter. The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the Safety and Maintenance of the Companies busy Fleet of Class 66 and 60 Locomotives in line with company Standards and Procedures Person Profile/Experience: A skilled Mechanical Fitter with experience with Heavy Diesel Engines. Candidates will also need to have solid electrical experience, including reading and working from electrical diagrams and schematics. Full training will be given and candidates will be working with qualified engineers until signed off. Ideal for those from an Automotive Electrical background - wanting to take the next step in their career. The role will include: - Electrical Fault finding and diagnosis - Fitting and replacing of electrical components - Power packs, brushs, relays. - Inspection and exam work - Servicing and repair of mechanical components, including air systems, motors, diesel engines.
