Job Title: Engineering Stores Lead

Job Type: 3-month ongoing temporary contract , view to go permanent.

Job Function: Engineering: Supporting a large team of 35 engineers and 2 manufacturing sites.

Job Reward: £30-35k Target Band

About the Role:

Responsibility for the management of the total Engineering procurement stores system, ensuring availability of parts in a very fast moving environment, where demand is fast paced and unpredictable To provide a clean and tidy accurate stock inventory and use best practice to obtain the optimum value on all purchases.

You will be responsible for ensuring the Stores are maintained to a high standard and take full responsibility for the availability of products of which will be bought both effectively and efficiently to deliver savings to the Client.

Key Responsibilities: Engineering Stores Lead

• Process orders as required with the correct procedure
• Issue stock products
• Focus on transferring a lot of stock onto the system
• Expedite all outstanding purchase orders in timely manner when required
• Accurately and efficiently record goods delivered into the stock control system
• Confirm customer deliveries in a timely manner
• Ensure approved documentation is accurately completed and authorised where necessary.
• Conduct rotational stock checks
• Maintain the stores security
• Use the Agility Stock Control system to manage and monitor stock levels
• To source all required items, ensuring best price and most efficient purchasing options to secure maximum discounts / best pricing
• Produce regular reports on stores issues and daily costs
• Record stock locations for new products required in store
• Record stock adjustments and to action as appropriate
• To collect parts direct from suppliers in cases of high workload / emergency situations
• Be available for factory and department audits
• To provide cover for other members of the team during as necessary

Key Skills and Requirements: Engineering Stores Lead

• Working in a Fast-paced environment with responsive action
• Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent IT/Computer Skills (SAP, MS Excel are desirable)
• Ideal if you have Agility experience, If not , then experience of managing with a stock control and procurement system
• High standards of numeracy and literacy
• Good analytical skills
• Proven experience of managing Stock Control System
• Solid experience gained within an Engineering Stores environment
• Awareness of and familiarity with engineering components
• Comfortable using own initiative, sometimes with limited supervision
