Held to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the Royal British Legion.

We are inviting residents and businesses to create displays.

Residents interested in following the Poppy Trail will be invited to visit our website, to make a small optional donation and download a Poppy Trail Map.

The map will include nodes showing locations where houses and businesses have created their own Poppy Displays.

All displays should be ready by the evening of Thursday, May 13 and be removed asap Monday, May 17.

The map will also include details regarding the service histories of the WW1 war dead as commemorated on the Crewe Road War Memorial.

If individual householders are happy to do so, we have promised to provide a poppy wreath to display at the addresses from which these brave men set out to serve their country.

If that proves impractical, we shall display wreaths on the relevant road signs.
