Crewe Town FC are offering free training sessions

CREWE Town FC are offering free football training sessions for children in years 4 and 5 as they look to fill out their teams for the new season.

Sessions are being held on Sunday afternoons on the King George V Playing Fields for year 4 (from 1 to 2pm) and year 5 (2.15 to 3.15pm) and are completely free of charge for the moment, says the club's head of football development, Mark Dunning.

The sinkhole emerged on Flag Lane

CREWE motorists have been warned to plan their journeys amid a surge in roadworks - while a town centre thoroughfare remains closed after a sinkhole emerged.

Cheshire East Council is advising drivers to visit their online system One Network to spot areas to avoid as there has been an increase in requests for roadworks from utility companies following the relaxing of lockdown measures.
