PLANS are in the pipeline to name a refurbished Willaston play area in memory of a former 'committed, caring and inspiring' parish councillor.

Willaston Parish Council is proposing recognising the contribution made by Maurice Jones, who passed away last year, to the local community by officially christening the Victoria Mill Drive maze area Maurice's Maze.

Parking charges are being reintroduced on August 1 but a new scheme will exempt many

BLUE badge holders and patients who regularly attend appointments for long-term conditions at Crewe's Leighton Hospital will be permitted to park for free when charges are reinstated on Saturday (Aug 1).

Parents of sick children staying overnight will also be entitled to free parking under new long-term concessions introduced by Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
