Gateway-based Crewe Audi again been awarded the 'CarGurus 2021 Top Rated Dealer Award for Excellence in Customer Experience', along with three other Swansway Group sites.

New Burton pub has been boarded up for years.

PLANS to convert a long-shuttered Crewe pub into flats are set to be refused because its owner failed to carry out a noise assessment.

The New Burton has lain empty for a number of years, adding to the dereliction of some of the upper part of Victoria Street. Plans to convert the first floor of the former public house into flats were previously approved, as was a plan to use the ground floor as a dental practice.

COMMUNITY radio station The Cat 107.9FM have presented their Local Legend monthly award to a motorbike dealership owner who set up a vaccination centre in his showroom.

The March Local Legend award was presented to Roger Morris, who received his Baked by Gill Cat Cake, Cat goodies and a Local Legend certificate from Cat MD Chris Cadman, presenter David Foulkes and sponsor Gill Clark of Baked by Gill.

Building work is well advanced at the new Lidl store.

SUPERMARKET giant Lidl has launched a recruitment drive as work on its new Crewe store draws to completion.

The German discount chain is looking to hire a deputy store manager as well as customer assistants for the new outlet, which is part of a major retail and housing development off Mill Street and Lockitt Street.
