Van and car engulfed by flames in suspected Crewe arson attack

A Cheshire Police investigation is underway after a van and car were engulfed by flames, in a suspected arson attack in Crewe.
On Saturday 17 August, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to an incident on Crewe Road, Shavington.
At 1:27am, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering a van well alight.
The van blaze had spread to another vehicle, with Crewe firefighters using a hose reel to put it out.
Due to the suspicious nature of the incident, Cheshire Police were called to the scene.
No injuries were reported in the incident, with both vehicles sustaining serious damage.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 1:30am on Saturday 17 August, police were called to reports of a vehicle fire on Crewe Road, Shavington.
"It is believed the fire may have been started deliberately and enquiries remain ongoing."
