A Crewe flooring store has renewed its sponsorship with Crewe Alex FC, having a pitch-side board installed for a third season running.

Owner of United Carpets, Nantwich Road, Eddie Davies, has recently been able to combine his love of football with a "sound business decision."

While Eddie misses a lot of games due to the shop being open on a Saturday, he manages to go along when there is an evening fixture.

United Carpets is open 9am to 6pm (Monday to Wednesday), 8am to 8pm (Thursday), 9am to 6pm (Friday and Saturday) and 10:30am to 4:30pm (Sunday).

Assistant manager, Gavin Chesters, who is also a fan, now takes his daughter along to Mornflake Stadium.

Eddie told Nub News: "Crewe Alex have great support from their fans.

"Last season we were really pleased to get into the play offs and another Wembley appearance

"Fingers crossed we can avoid that upset and get an automatic promotion spot this season."

Eddie also regularly arranges a giveaway of Crewe Alex tickets on social media. Keep an eye on their posts to see if you will get lucky.
