A popular Crewe eatery housed in one of Cheshire's oldest buildings, has been shortlisted for a prestigious UK Small Business Award. 

The White Lion Weston, Main Road, has been recognised in the 'Best Restaurant/Food Business' category, with the awards looking to celebrate and support small businesses across the UK.

These awards shine a light on companies and talent excelling in their fields.

The White Lion Weston now eagerly awaits details of the next step, with everything crossed it will be crowned winner of the sought-after accolade. 

Owner of The White Lion Weston, Carl Boulton, told Nub News: "We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for a UK Small Business Award.

"Since taking over in 2021, the team and I have worked incredibly hard to establish the pub in the area, experimenting with different menus, events and offerings and we now feel like we have really finessed what we do. 

"Internally, we have given the restaurant a whole new look and feel bringing our guests the epitome of modern luxury and most recently, we have launched a brand new menu.

"After lots of chopping and changing, we now have a menu we are incredibly proud of and one that we're confident families of all sizes and ages, will be able come and find a delicious meal to enjoy, with ease.

"I'd like to take the opportunity to thank our incredible kitchen and front of house team for their hard work and I am thrilled it has been recognised with this finalist recognition, here's hoping we go all the way and get the gold."
