Two men are currently in hospital with "serious" injuries after a car went off-road into a roundabout in Crewe, hitting trees and signage.

On Monday 12 August, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident at Meremoor Moss Roundabout on the A500, Weston.

At 4:29pm, emergency services arrived at the scene, discovering a vehicle had lost control and crashed into the roundabout.

Two air ambulances arrived at the scene, with two men, aged 45 and 21, sustaining severe injuries (Jes Bleakley).

The car hit a number of trees, bushes and signage, with the vehicle severely damaged.

They remain in hospital at this time. No arrests were made in the incident.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 4:29pm on Monday 12 August, police were called to a serious collision at the Meremoor roundabout on the A500 in Weston.

The car hit a number of trees, bushes and signage on the roundabout, with the vehicle severely damaged (Cheshire Police).

"A car had gone onto the roundabout and collided with signage and trees.

"Two men, aged 45 and 21, were taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious."
