It looks like there will be a new organisation in charge at a beloved Crewe café.

And it is a name familiar with Crewe residents.

Earlier this year, the parent firm behind Park Life Café went into administration, as reported by Crewe Nub News.

Today, Cheshire East Council has revealed the establishment they are talking to, who could potentially become the new operator of the Park Life Café, located inside Crewe's Queens Park.

Everybody Health and Leisure, who already operate one café, are in discussions to take on the Park Life Café for a short period of time.

They already operate the Taste for Life Cafés shop in Crewe, which is the in-house coffee shop at Crewe Lifestyle Centre.

Everybody would also be taking on the West Park Café in the nearby town of Macclesfield, should a deal be reached.

Cheshire East Council told Crewe Nub News in a statement: "The council recognises the importance of the cafés at Queens Park in Crewe and West Park in Macclesfield to visitors and our local communities and would like to address the concerns raised over the future of these cafés."

"The council is in negotiations with Everybody Health and Leisure for them to operate the cafés on a temporary basis, while we work to secure a new operator to take over both sites next year. This arrangement will allow Everybody to continue to run both facilities while this takes place.

"We will provide further details on the plans and timescales for both cafés in the coming weeks once these arrangements are finalised."

Stay tuned for Crewe Nub News, for confirmation on when a temporary deal goes through.
