A popular authentic Indian eatery has closed in Crewe town centre, with it set to relocate in a former kebab shop close to the railway station.

Bombaye Junction closed its outlet within Crewe Market Hall on Saturday 13 July.

Operated by Robby and her team, Bombaye Junction confirmed to Nub News it will be opening at 4 Nantwich Road, formerly occupied by Best Kebab, within the next month.

The food business had enjoyed success at two locations in the town, launching Ria's Kitchen by Bombaye Junction at Buckingham Health Sciences Campus in August 2023.

Serving authentic Indian food, Bombaye Junction serves a wide range of items including curries, biryanis, chaats, onion bhajis and more.

Robby told Nub News: "Saturday 13 July marked our last day trading at Crewe Market Hall.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers and staff at Crewe Market Hall who have supported us since day one and been a huge part of our journey.

"Like any other good business and restaurant, we aim to grow and expand.

"We are very happy to announce we will be returning with a new site for bombaye junction that is bigger and better.

Bombaye Junction's new Nantwich Road eatery opening date will be announced soon. Work is currently taking place at the Nantwich Road site (Ryan Parker).

"Our new location will be 4 Nantwich Road, formerly occupied by Best Kebab, and you will all receive an invite to the grand opening.

"There will be a limited number of tables to start with, with a seating capacity of 10 to 15 people. This will be expanded further down the line.

"Of course, our sister branch, Ria's Kitchen will remain open to carry on serving delicious Indian food to everyone and Bombaye Junction will be on Uber Eats for delivery."
