Road in Crewe closed for two days for 'carriageway patching'

A road in Crewe by is closed for two days, allowing "carriageway patching" works to take place.

Lunt Avenue closed at 9:30am on Monday 5 August, with work targeted to be completed by 3:30pm on Tuesday 6 August.

The road will be closed for six hours each day, with Cheshire East Highways carrying out the works.

Micro asphalt carriageway patching is taking place on the Crewe street, following on from nearby Kingsway and Salisbury Avenue projects.

During this two-day closure, motorists are being diverted via Ruskin Road, Nantwich Road and Somerville Street.

Pedestrian access to any premises situation within thetemprary closure is being maintained at all times.

Cyclists are required to dismount in order for access to be maintained.

Access is be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
