A road in Crewe is set to remain closed for the next eight weeks, causing traffic delays in the area.

Broughton Road, between its junction with North Street and Maplins Moss Place, closed to motorists on Tuesday 4 June.

Cadent Gas is carrying out utility asset works on the street, with Broughton Road expected to fully reopen on Monday 29 July.

Emergency access will be maintained where possible.

Currently, two-way traffic lights are in place on North Street, at its junction with Broughton Lane.

This is also due to Cadent Gas works, with this project expected to be completed by Friday 14 June.
