A regeneration giant has proposed a new sustainable business park on the edge of Crewe - worth close to 3,000 jobs.

Muse launched its 'community conversation' for land between David Whitby Way and the A500 yesterday (October 13).

The 'Weston M6' business park would be constructed with open green space - supporting up to 2,900 new jobs.

This development also targets to create 165 jobs during its building phase.

Cheshire East Council has already allocated this land in its local plan for job creation.

A public event, allowing local members of the community to view the plans and ask questions - is planned for Tuesday (October 18) from 3pm to 7pm.

Crewe residents will be able to provide feedback between at The White Lion Restaurant & Hotel, Main Road, Weston.

The Weston M6 proposals include: sustainable workplaces, footpaths, cycleways, nature trails, parks and green spaces.

A 305-home residential development has been given the green light for land off David Whitby Way (Taylor Wimpey).

It is planned to connect to new homes approved for the area.

Last week (October 7), a 305-home residential development was given the green light for land off David Whitby Way.

The Millbrook Place development will provide a mixture of two, three, and four-bedroom homes.

Homebuilders, Taylor Wimpey, told Nub News work is expected to begin on-site this November.

Development director at Muse, David Burkinshaw said: "We're looking forward to meeting the community to showcase our plans, which have been designed to create a vibrant place that benefits the whole community for the long term and meets their needs.

Cheshire East Council has already allocated this land in its local plan for job creation (Google).

"At Weston M6, we have a real opportunity to deliver something special – a sustainable location that creates thousands of jobs for local people."

Work for the new Crewe business park could start as early as 2023.
