A homebuilder has been granted planning permission for a new 305-home residential development in Crewe - including large areas of public open space.

The Millbrook Place development, off David Whitby Way, was approved by Cheshire East Council for a reserved matters application on Friday (October 7).

Taylor Wimpey has worked in partnership with Homes England to bring the site forward.

The development will provide a mixture of two, three, and four-bedroom homes (Taylor Wimpey).

The development will provide a mixture of two, three, and four-bedroom homes, aiming to meet local housing market needs - including affordable housing.

Millbrook Place aims to provide strong connectivity to the local area and include large areas of public open space - retaining ecological habitats along Basford Brook.

The development is increasing biodiversity through heavily planted areas with native species and a community orchard.

A new children's play area will also be constructed along with bird and bat boxes.

Millbrook Place has contributed £4,508,900 to invest into the local community.

Taylor Wimpey has worked in partnership with Homes England to bring the 305-home site forward (Cheshire East Planning).
