A popular Queens Park swan has been put to sleep by the RSPCA - after suffering from suspected Bird Flu for more than a week.
Pablo, a swan based at Queens Park - was popular with Queens Park staff, volunteers and visitors.
Born in 2019, the three-year-old was full of live until he recently contracted a suspected case of Avian Flu.
Today (November 10), the RSPCA came to look at Pablo. After believing he had Bird Flu, volunteers put the swan to sleep.
Earlier today, admin of Queens Park Crewe - The People's Park, Richard Palin, confirmed Pablo could be put down.
Mr Palin posted on the Facebook group, saying: "Pablo has been unwell for a week now and we have been hopeful he would get better.
"Unfortunately he's not and I've made the decision to call the RSPCA today and they are coming to have a look and possibly take him away.
"I've been in contact with the RSPCA beforehand and they are aware that he's been ill.
"They said to keep an eye on him, unfortunately if it's Avian Flu he will be put to sleep as nothing can be done.
"He can't be taken to RSPCA Stapeley Grange as there is a ban on taking Wildlife there with this horrible Avian Flu."
The death of Pablo the swan was confirmed on the Queens Park Facebook group just before midday.
