A popular pop-up calendar shop has opened in a Crewe town centre shopping area, in time for the busy Christmas period.

Calendar Club officially launched inside The Market Shopping Centre at 9am on Monday 6 November.

The seasonal store specialises in retailing a variety of calendars, diaries, planners and gifts in the run up to Christmas.

Calendar Club is located inside the former River Island and Chainstore unit, most recently home to Ping Pong Parlour (Ryan Parker).

Since forming in 1998, Calendar Club has become a common sight in shopping centres and high streets across the UK and Ireland.

It now looks to trade in over 200 stores every year, with Crewe often one of them.

The free pop-up leisure activity has now relocated to the Market Shopping Centre's former Candle Shop, which closed in January this year.

A Market Shopping Centre spokesperson said: "We are very excited to announce Calendar Club UK will be opening its doors.

Calendar Club is open 9am until 5:30pm (Monday to Saturday) and 10:30am until 4:30pm (Sunday) (Ryan Parker).

"It will be selling 2024 calendars, planners, diaries and more. They also make the perfect Christmas gifts."
