Everyone is welcome to borrow a bat and ball play on one of the three table tennis tables in the parlour, free of charge.

Crewe's Market Shopping Centre has teamed up with Table Tennis England, the sport's national governing body, to bring this project to life.

Table Tennis England Partnership manager, Colin Eley, told Nub News: "We are delighted to be able to add The Market Shopping Centre, Crewe, to our nationwide portfolio of Ping Pong Parlours.

"The parlour is a free to play pop-up space for passers-by to enjoy a game of table tennis with friends and family members.

Ping Pong Parlours have already opened up in over 50 other shopping centres nationwide, taking over empty units (Table Tennis England).

It forms part of Table Tennis England's vision to inspire people to get active by introducing table tennis into unexpected, non-traditional places.

The parlours are not staffed and rely on the people who play in them to respect the equipment and not remove bats and Balla.

Ping Pong Parlour will be open 9am to 5pm (Monday to Friday) and 10am until 4pm (Saturday and Sunday) (Ryan Parker).
